Miami Vice Just Won't Be the Same
Posted by Ernest Miller
WIRED has a very interesting article regarding the difficulties television producers are having getting music rights clearances when they start selling their television shows on DVD (TV on DVD: What's the Difference?). Apparently, producers are having to replace the original soundtracks for television shows as broadcast with new music when the shows are distributed via DVD in order to save the costs of licensing.
Heh.
