The LA Times published a commentary by Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki, president of the Athens 2004 Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games, who complains about the FCC investigating whether there was indecency during the opening ceremonies of these past Olympic games (Since When Is Greece's Culture Obscene?). Don't you just love censorship?
Why this is happening now I would ask - five months after the games have been taken place? Simple - debasing Greek culture is part of a wider US propaganda strategy to promote Turkey, bully Greece and divide Europe. It is done by haters of our western civilization the basis of which is Greece and it is naive and immoral. Both Athens Olympic games opening and closing ceremonies were wonderful events presenting thousands of years material and immaterial Greek history. But this presentation of culture would not be readily understood by Americans who all they know is bullying smaller nations, unilateral attacks on sovereign countries, violating international law and forcing their own kind of democracy on other nations. Americans have twisted, to their own ends, every concept that such small but great country as Greece has given to western civilization. Should we excuse some of these Americans whose IQ would not be high enough to grasp these concepts or understand the damage they create by debasing our civilization because all they know is guns, coca cola and the dollar? If a great performance of thousands years of a great culture is offensive to them, it is because they want to push down our throats their own images of tortured naked bodies from their illegal wars. To make it simple for you American hypocrits if you go against the basis of western civilization, you simply shoot yourselves on the foot - it is a stupid thing to do. You do not go against your own mother. Here is another proof for what most of us in Europe believe - "stupid Americans" . For once, be wise and keep you mouths shut.
