Replacing New Commercials for Old
Dow Jones reports that Comcast will be developing a new DVR in partnership with TiVo that will replace the old commercials in recorded shows with new commercials (Comcast Eyes New Advertising System For DVRs). Not a bad idea, but implementation is key. For example, forcing people to watch these new commercials, as opposed to permitting fast forwarding through them, is not a good idea.
