Yet Another CD DRM Attempt - Yawn
Why do they even bother? Are they so cash rich they can afford to waste money this way? WIRED carries a Reuters wirestory about yet another attempt to add DRM to CDs (BMG Cracks Piracy Whip). These sort of systems will never work without totally breaking the whole Red Book Audio thing. Look, if you don't like the fact that CDs don't have DRM, then stop supporting them. If it is really such a big concern then push the switch.
