Today in History - June 23
Today is a pretty darn good day as we celebrate the birthdays of two truly amazing pioneers who have shaped the world we live in (particularly with regard to things of interest to this blog):
- Alan Turing - Considered the father of modern computing science and played a pivotal role in cracking German codes during WWII. Disgracefully, he was hounded to death by the government due to his homosexuality.
- Vint Cerf - Considered the father of the internet. He played a key role in the development of TCP/IP
Happy Birthday!
